Owner & Director of Sail Puppy Ltd. is Petros Krystalakos, a long-time yacht charter professional.
Petros has been sailing from a very young age, by now an avid and very experienced skipper who still undertakes skipper jobs, having a rich and varied professional background which includes working as financial journalist for 20 years for some of the largest newspapers and news media outlets in Greece. He studied Economics at Essex University, before earning the prestigious PricewaterhouseCoopers London Press Fellowship at Wolfson College, Cambridge University. In his spare time he sings as bass voice in two highly acclaimed classical choirs, while also practising martial arts. Petros has completed an extensive first-aid seminar at the Greek National Emergency Centre’s (ΕΚΑΒ) HQ, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with and without an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Petros has a natural affinity with superior client interaction giving attention to detail, while his universal yacht charter expertise leads to optimal sailing holiday solutions for all cirumstances and budgets. Our Charter Department includes professionals who have worked in the yachting industry for a long time, negotiating and booking yacht charters for countless happy, satisfied, return customers. We are also proud of valuable work experience in yacht maintenance and yacht crane lifting & hauling, which has thoroughly enriched our practical knowledge of where to look at for things that could potentially go south on a boat, when choosing yachts to offer you.
Our extensive yachting experience includes having acted as client welcome agents for yacht charter companies, conducting detailed check-in yacht handovers and check-out returns, which taught us how a swell yacht charter service ought to be provided – and audited. The rich sea experience we have amassed, along with extensive yacht charter client interaction feedback, gives us a unique sailing-holiday perspective from your point of view.
